40 CHANCES - FINDING HOPE IN A HUNGRY WORLD, located on the second level of the Hall of Laureates, is a photography exhibit by Howard G. Buffett. The exhibit features beautiful, insightful photography from around the globe in six main categories: agriculture, water, social conflict, portraits, Howard G. Buffett on the Ground and landscapes.
The photos will give you a glimpse into the daily life of the world's poor, conditions that individuals around the world face while struggling to overcome hunger, poverty, or conflict and the importance of water - one of our planet's most critical resources.
In Howard's Own Words
"Each of us has about 40 chances to accomplish our goals in life.
Embracing the 40 Chances mindset means that we must get outside of our comfort zones, that we have to break down barriers set up by others, and that we cannot always accept the status quo when it's simply not working.
Approaching life with a 40 Chances mindset gives you reason to hope and take action, and it forces fresh approaches that our world desperately needs."
